Here is final 4. It was the toughest of the finals that we had. I used the different spheres to create my head, body, arms and legs. I also added a hat, and put the picture of my face on the sphere. I uploaded the files, to myfiles on BC, but was having difficulty opening the .x3d file extension. I was able to open the file from my local drive, so I will be emailing you the .x3d file as well.

I took the the source code, and pasted it into notepad and saved it as a .wrl. I then changed the numbers around in the code, and took saved my new one as simple4.wrl.

Here is the screen shots of three classmates in WEB3D. I made numerous efforts to get at least three classmates into these shots, and was sucessful with 3 out of the 5 screen shots. The other two have 2 classmates, along with myself.

I explored second life, and took screen shots. I clicked on snapshot at the bottom and saved it to my hard-drive. I then opened each image in Photoshop and saved them as .jpg

Here is my .jpg of my word art. I used various shapes, and lines, along with patterns, gradiants, and textures. I had to move things to the back in order to line them up properly.

Midterm 7

Here is the image as a .jpg file for midterm 7. I saved a picture of Pacino from google images. I used the marquee tool to make his new eyes from the image provided. I then used the rectangle tool to add a black rectangle at the bottom. I added the three lines of text as requested, making sure the third line was NOT any longer than the second!

I tried uploaded the .psd file, but received a message that blogger does not accept .psd files.

Midterm 6

Here is my animated gif. I used the text circle in GIMPshop and added my name to the text box. I then added layers, selected white as the background and pasted the text into the new layer. I selected the rotate tool, and clicked on the "Floating Section" text. I increased my rotation to 45 degrees, clicked rotate, then clicked on the anchor icon at the bottom. I created three more layers increasing the rotation by 10 degrees on each of the layers.

Midterm 5

I saved the monster.jpg to my local drive, then opened it in Photoshop. I used the Paint brush tool, and wrote my name across the monster. I then saved the image as a copy using the .jpg file extension. I then checked the progressive box and saved it as a progressive JPEG.

I took the image that I had previously saved, and saved it as a .png file. I selected interlaced png and uploaded it to my blog.

Here is the greeting card of my Avatar in Web3d chat. I took a screen shot of the Avatar and pulled it into Photoshop where I added some text, using the text tool. I saved the image as a .jpg

Stretch/Skew with Java Cup

Here is my image. We took an image from google images,

and also copied the java image from our notes. We used Paint and selected image-->stretch/skew to resize the coffee cup in order to have them fit as eye glasses. During the mid-term we would use image-->resize image........

You'll notice the type is much sharper here than it is in a jpg format, but the color is better in jpg.

I used the dropper tool in Paint to get the proper eye color, then used the brush tool to fill the eye color. Also used the brush tool to add my name

Below you will find the three images with the different file formats. Basically I did a save-as using the original .tiff format to create the other three formats(.jpg, .gif, .png) I also used the paint brush tool to write my name across the image

Here is my pic of samus. That cat really gave me some problems, but I was able to use the text tool to create the text message that Samus seems to hear all the time. I had to resize the text to 6pt in order to fit it all. I Verdana as my font type.

Here is the image that I removed the red-eye from. I used Photoshop cs to do this. I used the handy red-eye removal tool. With prior version of photoshop I would have had to use the eye dropper tool to select the brown color of the boys eye, along with the paint brush tool to fill in the red.

Testing My Computer

I've run the different test on my computer and am having an issue with the shockwave test.

I get the following error message......

xtra package download error 125This application requires an xtra(shockwave 3D) that either does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Please make sure the appropriate xtras are in the xtras folder(s).I downloaded the latest shockwave plug-in and continue to have this issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've also performed the Bitmap Test, and it did complete in under a minute.
